Information for UGC Approved Journal

UGC - INDIA is decided to curate patterns (New Digital) list of authentic, ethical and high quality research journals. To find such journals, UGC has established a consortium named Consortium for Academic and Research Ethics (CARE). IJERGS Journal is not approved by UGC- CARE yet, However, as IJERGS is a peer reviewed journal . It is valid according to UGC's guidlines and recommendation.

Information UGC-CARE Approved Journal

Some years ago, UGC-INDIA removed maximum Indian Journals from CARE list, they kept only those Journals which were listed in Web of Science, Scopus, which basically mean that UGC relieved itself from the burden of verifying journals and decided to approve later only those journals which come as recommendation from the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) committees of the Indian Universities and Colleges. Reviewing and including more journals in the list is very (s) low.

There are some Indian Journals in the UGC - CARE list, and maximum journals are from out of India. Many Indian journals are claiming that they are approved by UGC CARE, however including IJERGS Journal is not in the listed of Journals approved by UGC - CARE. You should check the list of journals approved by UGC-CARE on the UGS's website before submitting your Research Article / Research Paper to such journal.

As UGC has released a notification that peer reviewed journals are also valid, IJERGS and many other journals are valid according to the notification and UGC's guidelines. UGC has allocated different marks, which can be considered, when promoting teaching faculties in Universities and Colleges, according to which a Research Article / Research Paper published in a Journal approved by UGC - CARE is given more mark than a Research Article / Research Paper published in a peer reviewed journal.
